Refrigerated Food Industry to Gain Hall of Fame
Harrisburg, PA —
The National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Association (NFRA) recently established
the NFRA Refrigerated Food Hall of Fame to honor individuals for the
contributions they have made, and the leadership they have provided, to the
Refrigerated Food Industry. Any
individual who is or was substantially involved with the Refrigerated Food
Industry is eligible for induction into the Hall of Fame.
“Refrigerated Foods
have become an important and integral part of our association,” said NFRA
President/CEO Nevin B. Montgomery. “We are pleased to recognize the individuals
who have shaped this industry by creating the Hall of Fame award.”
Induction
ceremonies will be held at the National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods
Convention on alternate years between the Frozen Food Hall of Fame and the NFRA
Refrigerated Food Hall of Fame. The inaugural award will be presented in
October 2010. Nomination information will be sent to all NFRA members in
January 2010.
Nominations may
be made by any NFRA member company. A selection committee headed by NFRA’s Vice Chairman of Refrigerated Foods along with five
other members of NFRA’s Refrigerated Food Council
will choose the recipients.
NFRA is a non-profit trade association representing all segments of the frozen and refrigerated foods industry. Headquartered in Harrisburg, PA, NFRA is the sponsor of March National Frozen Food Month, June Dairy Month, June/July Ice Cream & Novelties promotion and October Cool Food for Kids. NFRA holds the annual National Frozen & Refrigerated Foods Convention in October.
